Karnataka Chess Academy

Karnataka Chess Academy A Chess Institution with some of the best players of Karnataka as trainers-Year 2014 onwards... Online classes happen via Zoom platform.

Academy is headed by Grand Master norm holder IM Shivananda BS (Former captain of the Karnataka team) and has some of the best players of Karnataka as well as Captains of Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore and Kuvempu (Shimoga) University teams as faculty. Five times State champion Shruthi Krishnan, Grand Masters Thej Kumar, Himanshu Sharma ,FM Gahan MG, Sriram Sarja FM Abhishek Das often take classes

here as guest lecturers. As of now, there are around 400 students for offline(in-person) classes and another 200 students for online module. Main centre of the academy is at Malleshwaram, Bangalore and another main centre is at @ Mahalaxmi layout next to Rajajinagar First block. There are seven different levels of classes in online mode.

Wonder girl ๐’๐ฎ๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ญ๐š ๐’๐ก๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ฒ๐š has made India , Karnataka and our Academy proud by winning ๐“๐ž๐š๐ฆ ๐’๐ข๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐Œ๐ž๐๐š๐ฅ in the just concluded ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐’๐„๐€๐ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ at ๐’๐ข๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ž.

In the ๐”๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ– ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ ๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง of this event ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฎ along with ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ฎ ๐—ก๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ถ and ๐——๐—ถ๐—ฎ ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ won the ๐—ฆ๐—ถ๐—น๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐—น for Indian team.

๐•๐ข๐ž๐ญ๐ง๐š๐ฆ team got the gold medal in this event.

๐€๐’๐„๐€๐ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ is a prestigious annual event for South East Asian countries. This time they invited ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ข๐š ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ง๐š ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ (which are very strong in chess) to get more exposure for ASEAN countries.

Indian players won several medals in this event and Sucheta was the only Karnataka girl player to win a medal.
