Happy Independence Day!
There’s a version of freedom we talk about once a year, wave a flag, feel proud, move on. And then there’s the version we actually have to work for, every single day, inside the walls of what we build.
At ITW Universe, today feels like the right day to talk about the second kind.
Because real freedom in a workplace doesn’t come from a policy. Freedom on paper means nothing if you’re still shackled in practice. So today, let’s actually earn the word instead of just posting about it.
Today we are declaring freedom.
Freedom from complacency.
Freedom from lack of accountability.
Freedom from strings attached.
Freedom from toxicity.
Freedom from Anonymous side channels.
Freedom from shadow boxing.
Freedom from not getting things done.
Freedom from not walking the talk.
Freedom from selfishness.
Freedom from disrespecting co-workers.
Freedom from clients being claimed like personal turf instead of shared responsibility.
And freedom from that comfortable little corner we call mediocrity, where everyone settles because nobody’s pushing.
What this moment calls for is a leap, into the wild, where there’s no safety net of excuses left to hide behind. So let me say this plainly with no hedging:
ITW Universe is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
We started in Bangalore, but make no mistake, we are a global company. And global does not wait for a time zone to catch up. The work doesn’t sleep, so our standard can’t either.
Does that mean nobody rests? No. It means the work comes first, and if you’re delivering, exceeding what’s expected of you, the hours are yours to shape. The standard will not take a day off, and neither will the opportunity.
And to every team member who lives this by core, you are a leader, no matter what your title says.
Every single person reading this has a choice sitting in front of them today. Simple to state, not so easy to live:
Choose Extraordinary.
