"SHABAASH BHAI" was the mostly heard words on TV when he was the wicket Keeper.. Latif does U-turn on Pakistan chief selector job.
Pakistan cricket was hit by further controversy on Wednesday when former national team captain Rashid Latif changed his mind about becoming the chief selector despite having accepted the post last month.

"I don't want to get into controversies and I don't think this is the right time for me to accept this position," Latif told Reuters.

Last month the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a press release announcing that Latif would take over as chief selector from April 1.

"I took Reeva's life," Pistorius tells South African court:

scar Pistorius told a South African court on Wednesday that his girlfriend died in his arms, blood pouring from her body, as he tried to revive her after shooting her by mistake.

Facing questioning from prosecutor Gerrie Nel for the first time in his murder trial, Pistorius admitted killing Reeva Steenkamp at his home on February 14 last year but said "I made a mistake".

The double amputee Olympic and Paralympic sprinter, once revered the world over for his triumph over adversity, faces life in prison if convicted of the murder of Steenkamp, a 29-year-old law graduate and model.

His defence hinges on his contention that he though he was firing at an intruder when shot Steenkamp through a toilet door in his luxury Pretoria home. The prosecution aims to show he was a hot-headed character who loved to play with guns.

Pistorius, fighting back tears, told the court how he desperately tried to revive Steenkamp, who was hit by three of four pistol rounds he fired through the door.

"I checked to see if she was breathing and she wasn't," he said. "I could feel the blood was running down on me," Pistorius

said.

Pathologists said she was mortally wounded by one shot to the head.

He eventually managed to carry Steenkamp down stairs where neighbours tried to administer first aid before paramedics arrived.

But Pistorius said he knew that Steenkamp - with whom he said he was planning to buy a house - was already dead.

"The paramedics arrived. They asked for some space to work so I stood up," he said, his voice quavering with emotion.

"Reeva, Reeva had already died whilst I was holding her, before the ambulance arrived, so I knew there was nothing they could do for her."

Chelsea sn**ch late triumph, Madrid hold off Dortmund:
Chelsea reached the Champions League semi-finals with a late Demba Ba goal that secured a dramatic away-goals win over Paris St Germain on Tuesday, while Real Madrid held off a spirited Borussia Dortmund fightback.

Chelsea substitute Ba bundled the ball home in the 87th minute to secure a 2-0 win in the quarter-final, second leg at Stamford Bridge that sent the London club through after a 3-3 aggregate draw.

Madrid lost their return leg in Dortmund 2-0 but went through 3-2 on aggregate against last season's runners-up having dominated the first clash last week.

The 2012 champions Chelsea were trailing 3-1 after their first leg in Paris but clawed their way back into the tie with a first half-goal from substitute Andre Schuerrle, before hitting the crossbar twice in two minutes shortly after the restart.

The visitors were clinging on bravely, but were undone in the dying stages when Ba scrambled the ball home after a Cesar Azpilicueta shot deflected into his path in the area.

Dortmund ran a below-par Madrid close, with Marco Reus scoring twice in the first-half to give the German side hope of completing an astonishing comeback.

Real's Angel Di Maria missed a penalty before Reus pounced on a defensive mistake in the 24th minute to slot home Dortmund's opener before doubling the lead on the night in the 37th from close range after Robert Lewandowski hit the post.

Dortmund missed a great chance to level the tie in the second half when Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan rounded Madrid keeper Iker Casillas but only managed to hit the post.

Manchester United travel to European champions Bayern Munich and Barcelona visit La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid in the remaining quarter-final, second-leg matches on Wednesday, with both ties level at 1-1.

The draw for the semi-finals will take place on Friday.

World Twenty20:

Cricket-South Africa confident of taking on Indian spinners
South Africa feel they have the batting to take on what they expect to be a barrage of spin from India when they meet in the World Twenty20 semi-finals in Bangladesh on Friday.

"We know it's going to be a big challenge for us," all-rounder JP Duminy told a news conference in Dhaka on Tuesday.

"Their spinners have been doing exceptionally well in this tournament but I think we have the armoury to put in a big performance against their spinners.

"We know what to expect, we have played against them a number of times and we have had good success against them. We know its semi-final time in a World Cup, it doesn't get bigger than this; so we are going to have to produce something good."
