LOVED being in the classroom again last week for Chandni Gaglani (Head of Aisle) and my session on Understanding Dating and Marriage markets in India as part of the Global Network For Advanced Management program led by Prof Sreelata Jonnalagedda at IIM Bangalore
Our interaction spanned the last decade of dating apps as a new emerging market in India, user safety and trust, profile authenticity, retention and churn, high optionality, the evolving role of different entities with AI involved in the ecosystem and beyond.
I also shared a handful of pop culture references - books, movies and podcasts to continue the conversation with the class participants who joined us from IIM-B, Yale University, IE Business School, University of British Columbia, University of New South Wales, ESMT Berlin and institutes from Japan, Brazil & Johannesburg.
Closing it out - while the marriage rates and birth rates are declining, the antidote to Loneliness is Connection and that'll boost with IRL picking up again.
