Many Fathers Were Never Parented Emotionally… Yet We Expect Them to Know Fatherhood Naturally.
An Indian father is expected to be strong.
But nobody asks who taught him how to be emotionally present.
Most fathers today grew up in homes where:
• Love was rarely expressed
• Conversations were instructions
• Emotions were weakness
• Affection was awkward
• And silence was called maturity
They were taught how to earn, not how to emotionally connect.
So now, many fathers deeply love their children, but struggle to show it.
⚡ They pay fees on time
⚡ Fix problems immediately
⚡ Sacrifice endlessly
⚡ Carry pressure silently
And their child still says: “Dad doesn’t understand me.”
Not because the father doesn’t care, he was hardly there!
But because somewhere, generations of men were trained to suppress softness in the name of masculinity.
Indian society told fathers:
👉 “Don’t cry.”
👉 “Don’t overexpress.”
👉 “Children should fear you.”
And here are the consequences of the long held tradition:
📌 Homes where fathers are physically present, but emotionally unavailable.
📌 Children who respect their fathers, but cannot emotionally open up to them.
📌 And fathers themselves silently carrying stress, loneliness, guilt, and emotional exhaustion without language to express it.
The truth is —
Fatherhood is not instinctive for many men, because emotional parenting was never modeled to them.
If you believe fathers deserve emotional healing too, raise your voices and be heard on our PODCAST.
