Embassy Cricket League 2014
The Embassy Cricket League 2014 is an internal cricket league – for employees of Embassy and all its related entities. The six- a-side, six overs tennis ball cricket tournament seeks to encourage and build team spirit between Embassy employees and entities - creating healthy relationships through team work and sports. We would like to encourage cross-functional and cros
s-entity teams for the tournament. Every team must have only one woman player (It is mandatory to have one woman player)
All games to be played on a Saturday between 9am and 3pm – during the months of July & August 2014 (Dates/fixtures will be announced soon)

Teams & Playing format :
6 overs a side
6 players in each team
One female player mandatory. Knock-out format
First 32 teams to register qualify for the draw. Venue:
Stonehill International School & Embassy TechVillage
Registrations close: Friday, 27th June 2014
Knock out matches to be played in July / August
Final: Sunday, 31st August
Rules & regulations
Each team will have to bowl 6 overs (6 balls each). We will provide bats, wickets and balls. Teams are also allowed to bring their own bats. Only women bowlers can throw in case they do not know how to bowl. A team should have 4 bowlers, 1 women bowler is compulsory. Only 2 of the 4 bowlers are allowed to bowl 2 overs in an innings. The boundary line will be defined. If the ball lands beyond the boundary line, it’s an 8. Ball crossing the boundary after pitching will be declared as 6 runs.
