CHAMPIONS OF GULBARGA FOR THE SECOND TIME 🔝🔥🔥

ASFC win the District level Dasera tournament for the second time beating GSFC in the final.

A nearly new look ASFC went into the tournament with odds heavily against us with only 4 players having played Dasera tournaments before.

FIRST MATCH-
ASFC 2-0 Kalaburgi FC
(Wasi, Omar)
Some clinical finishing from both the players gave us a comfortable win. Salman and Omar with the assists.

SEMI-FINAL-
ASFC 1-1 Husain Garden FC after full time.
(Gangadhar)
HGFC went a goal up after confusion in the box regarding an offside call, Amir Mustafa tapping in after the defense was left stranded. We equalized through a set-piece, Gangadhar nodding the ball in from Tehnan's cross.
PENALTIES-
Some elite Goalkeeping from our young GK Mahboob was the highlight of the shootout as he kept out 3 shots from HGFC giving us the win.

ASFC 0-0 GSFC after full time
After ending goal less, the match was decided on penalties.
Some brilliant spot kicks ensured that even Gulbarga's best GK Aquib Hannan could not stop us from winning our second Dasera tournament.
PENALTIES-
ASFC 4-3 GSFC
(Omar, Rohit, Tehnan, Wasi)

Our defense conceded only one goal in 3 matches throughout the tournament. Huge credit to Rohit, Minhaj, Shuja and Sumeet for keeping it tight at the back.

ASFC now head to the division level matches to be held soon.

ASFC won the football tournament organised by Youth Sports Welfare Club by defeating GSFC in the final by a score of 2-1.
Both of our goals were scored by our striker Affan.
A defensive error by GSFC gave the ball to Affan who out muscled a defender and scored.
The second goal coming after a beautiful ball from Mutahar released Wasi down the right who squared for Affan to tap home.
GSFC got one back in the second half, Varun poking in the goal from close after the ball came to him in the box.
ASFC defeated Central University FC and Sedam FC on the way to the final.

Special mention for our midfield and denfence for conceding only 1 goal. Shoutout to Adil, tehnan ,Ateeq, Oza, Salman, Fasi, Wasi,Nishant and Mutahar for their performances.

It is with great sadness that we bid adieu to a great pillar of Gulbarga unity and peace.
Dr. Qamarul Islam will always be remembered as the face of Gulbarga. He always supported ASFC in our ventures and helped us in getting a proper ground to practice in.
May Allah forgive his sins and make him one of his beloved.
Gone but never forgotten.
