Player playing combat sports /Martial Art/Kurash JFI will SUSPENDED him/her from Judo. Information all Judo, player and coaches of state /Dept. About the Rule to avoid any disadvantage/ inconvenience.

Sir/Madam,
I would like to inform all of you about an important decision taken by the International Judo Federation (IJF) that ‘athlete classified in any IJF World Ranking List (either Cadet, junior and senior) are not authorized to take part in an international competition of any combat sport, other than Judo, unless authorization has been given by the IJF’.
The above matter was discussed in detail in the Executive Committee Meeting and AGM of the Judo Federation of India held on 6th July 2019 in New Delhi. It was decided in the meetings that as the parenting body of the Judo, rule and regulations of the International Judo Federation must have to be followed by Judo Federation of India also.
Hence, it is decided as well as approved in the above meetings of the JFI that Judo Players who are participating (State/National/ International level) in Combat Sports/martial Art/Kurash which are similar to Judo, JFI will suspend him/her from Judo activities .
You are therefore , requested to inform all the Judo players and coaches of your State/Dept. about the rule to avoid any disadvantage/inconvenience.
