Although you can train specific body parts to build muscles (chest, arms, legs, etc.), it’s not the same when it comes to fat loss. So, don’t go for spot reduction. Instead, focus on overall fat loss!”

Everyone has their problem area where they to hold “stubborn” fat.

For some, it’s their stomach and chest.

For others, it’s their butt and thighs.

Many think they need to use special exercises, foods, or supplements to lose fat from these problem areas.

And marketers without morals prey on these people with promises that their product or service can target the fat in a specific are.

Lifting technique: Varun works really hard on his lifting in the gym 6x per week. He went from working at home with dumbbells during lockdown to aiming to perfect his form on the squat, bench, and deadlift and is truly encompassing being an athlete.

The weight lifting belt is a very commonly used accessory in the gym.

This belt is mostly worn by people when they are lifting heavy weights to prevent injuries to the lower back. For maximum benefit, it is worn around the navel area. Wearing a belt causes increased intra-abdominal pressure during lifting, which helps you lift safely.

The belt also helps stabilize your core muscles. When you take a deep breath before starting to lift, your stomach is filled with air, which pushes against the belt and increases the intra-abdominal pressure.

Lifting belts also help prevent the spine from going into hyperextension, too much flexion, or lateral flexion (bending sideways). This reduces the risk of any possible injuries due to wrong technique or form.

NOTE: For safety reasons, it is best to avoid velcro belts. People with high blood pressure should also avoid using lifting belts, as increased intra-abdominal pressure could be fatal for them.
