A journey that began almost a decade ago, amongst a group of strangers with a common thread between them, a football club about 5000 miles away. A sporting team that many of us started watching on our own first, which became a source of inspiration & pride with time. These were the humble beginnings of our group, where all we wanted to do was get together and support *the greatest football team on earth, Manchester United*. And this is how we started Manchester United Supporters’ Club – Ahmedabad (MUSC-A).
Over the last decade, MUSC-A has grown as a family. We have experienced many glorious days together and witnessed some heartbreaking nights as well. We’ve seen managers come and go; our boyhood heroes become legends & many others fade away with time. This group has given us many friends, unforgettable moments and a medium to express every emotion possible during some difficult days. We’ve seen our great club lift silverware whilst some of us almost fell out of love with the club and the game itself. But here we are, still singing – Loud & Proud. As the famous banner at our sacred place reads, *_‘’There is nothing on Earth like being a Red’’_*
After over hundred screenings, dozens of gatherings, thousands of chants and millions of messages later, we are proud to announce that MUSC-A is now an officially recognised supporter’s club of Manchester United. We want to thank every single member, of present and our past, that has connected with us over the last decade. As the club enters a new & hopefully more successful era on the pitch, we hope that the MUSC-A family continues to grow as well. Once again, we would like to thank everyone for being part of this amazing journey & hopefully there are many more glorious days ahead of us! One of which will be when all of us are at Old Trafford, together with a tricolour, representing the great city that is the Manchester of the East!
