Most founders I meet arenтАЩt tired because theyтАЩre working hard.

TheyтАЩre tired because theyтАЩre chasing the wrong dream.

I meet a lot of young founders.

Bright. Ambitious. Driven.

And completely exhausted.

I ask them: "What's your goal?"

"тВ╣100 crore valuation."

"Why тВ╣100 crore?"

Silence. Then: "That's what successful startups have."

"But what do YOU actually want?"

More silence.

Here's what I've noticed:

They're chasing a dream they never chose.

They heard about valuations. Saw the headlines. Watched the ecosystem celebrate it.

And somewhere along the way, that became THEIR dream.

Not because they want it.

Because they think they're supposed to.

And it's killing them.

Can't sleep. Mind racing. Overthinking constantly.

I ask: "What goes through your mind when you're driving? Before sleep?"

"Business. Numbers. Strategy. All the time."

"Is it structured thinking?"

"No. It's just... looping. Same thoughts. Over and over."

You know why?

Your mind needs certainty.

When there's no clear plan, no real clarity...

It just runs in circles trying to CREATE certainty.

That's not ambition. That's anxiety.

When I work with founders, I don't start with business.

Business is just a reflection of who you are.

First question I ask: "Is this dream actually yours? Or did you borrow it from someone else's highlight reel?"

Because here's the thing:

Borrowed dreams don't energize you. They drain you.

They make you feel like you're never doing enough.

They turn your journey into a performance instead of a pursuit.

You can be ambitious. But it has to be YOUR ambition.

You can stretch your limits. But know where burnout begins.

You can be inspired by others. But don't lose yourself trying to become them.

If your mind is running in loops, it's not because you're not working hard enough.

It's because you're chasing something that isn't actually yours.

This is the time to be honest

We've been taught to hide what we want.

And call it authenticity.

That's not wisdom. That's fear.

Yesterday, I told a friend:

"I want to meet this person in the startup ecosystem. Offer my coaching. See if we can collaborate."

He said: "Don't go with an agenda. Just say his profile is interesting. Let it flow naturally."

I nodded. Started planning exactly that.

But this morning, walking, a thought hit me:

What's actually wrong with having an agenda?

Hiding your agenda isn't authentic.

It's manipulative.

You pretend you want "casual connection" when you actually want something specific.

And the other person feels it.

That weird energy. The "what does he really want?" discomfort.

You're not being clear. You're being strategic.

The "no agenda" advice comes from:

Fear of rejection - "What if he says no?"

Insecurity about value - "What if I'm not worth his time?"

Lack of clarity - "I don't know how to say what I bring."

That's not authenticity. That's fear dressed as networking strategy.

Here's what confidence looks like:

"I saw your work. I'm a mindset coach for founders. I think we could collaborate. Let's explore that."

Clear. Direct. Respectful.

But when you go "with no agenda"?

You meet. Chat. Drop vague hints.

He's confused why you wanted to meet.

You leave without asking.

Then awkwardly follow up later.

That's not authentic. That's fear-based maneuvering.

The problem isn't having an agenda.

The problem is having an agenda ONLY about you.

"What can I get?" = Transactional.

"Here's what I offer. Here's what you need. Let's see if there's alignment." = Clarity.

The most successful relationship builders?

They're clear about what they want.

They don't hide behind "casual coffee."

They show up with: "Here's who I am. Here's how we might align."

That clarity creates real connection.

So I'm going with an agenda:

"I help founders with mindset. You work with startups. Let's see if we can create value together."

Clear. Not vague.

Confidence isn't hiding what you want.

Confidence is being clear and okay with whatever comes.
