As Rosh Hashanah is getting closer, I want to open my heart and share with you what is happening inside my soul.

This past year has been challenging on so many fronts and levels...it's an understatement 😥

While our future as a nation is threatened by Israel's neighbors and our existence as jews is endangered every day in different parts of the world, there is a part of us that keeps on getting stronger and that we are more and more aware of - our SOUL.

Our Collective Soul as the Jewish People and our individual soul as Jews is awakening. More and more people are wondering what it means to be Jewish, and what to do with their Jewish Identity and what kind of humans they can be in this world that is constantly evolving.

We know that our soul comes from an infinite dimension and that when it decides to come down to this earth and partner with our human body, it is because it has a mission to accomplish.

The same is true for the Collective Soul of the Jewish People.
We each have an individual mission to accomplish and by doing so, we are advancing our People's mission as well.

When we, as individuals or as people, are moving away from our mission, our soul sends us messages. Soft at first. Then a little nudge, then a tap on the shoulder, then a kick in the butt, and when we still don't hear it, it becomes stronger - sickness, war, pain, suffering...on an individual AND on a collective level.

On an individual level, there is not much we can do about the war in Israel, the lost lives of our soldiers, or the return of our hostages, or the antisemitism in the world...

But I believe that there is ONE thing we CAN do...we can start to pay more attention to our soul. What is the message she is trying to convey to us? How can we be more aligned with the mission we were brought on this earth to accomplish? How can we read better the cues that our soul is sending us?

This is a question that I am obsessed with. Since I was a child, I have been wondering what my mission in this world is, And every time I bring a different answer to this question.

I used to think that those answers were different, until I started to see the pieces of the puzzle come together, and connect the dots and now I know that it is all part of the same mission, just with different layers.

The WHY doesn't change, the HOW just takes different shapes.

So here is my blessing for next year - I am praying that we will ALL have more clarity on what our soul wants, and that we will be able to align our life with our mission so that we feel more accomplished with a life full of meaning.

Hopefully, by doing so, we will also heal the Jewish People's collective soul and we will see a change happening on a bigger scale from the inside out, from the individual to the collective.

We woke up this morning with conflicting emotions

This war is pushing our limits and it is making us ask questions that we would never think that we would ask

Questions that the human mind is not always built to ask, let alone answer

And yet, we have no choice, we are confronted to the reality and the headlines in the news and our brain explodes into thousands pieces

Yes, of course, when we look at the "greater good" what happened last night with America's attack on Iran's nuclear facilities goes on the list of victories and success

And of course, when you know that a nuclear Iran was an existential threat not only to Israel, but to the whole world, then you say that it is a "good thing"

And yet....

When you know that so many people have died, are injured, or have lost their homes

When you know that there will be consequences on the Jews from all over the world, and that we will be blamed for "dragging America into war"

You can't really celebrate...

You can just acknowledge the fact with a heavy heart that there is no choice, that it has to be done, and that unfortunately too many people have to pay a heavy price on an individual level for the greater good to happen...

We are feeling conflicting emotions right now, whether we are Jews living in Israel or around the world

And it's ok to have conflicting emotions

Because being adult is knowing how to deal with nuances, and grey areas and accepting that we cannot always look at the world with binary glasses, that we cannot always put events in the "good" or "bad" box, sometimes it is more complicated than that
