סגנית השגריר הגברת רותם שגב נפגשה עם מועדון קשר עין עלה ווינר ישראל שהגיע למחנה אימונים ומירוץ לילה בניקוסיה.
שיתפנו כי המועדון מעודד ספורט ללקויי ראייה, עיוורים ומוגבלות.
אנו לוקחים חלק במרוצים בחו"ל מתוך שאיפה רצון לפתח מודעות עולמית בתחום זה ויש רצון לקיים שת"פ גם בקפריסין.
רותם שיתפה כי היא נרגשת מהשתתפות המועדון שלנו, שהינה מיקרוקוסמוס של החברה הישראלית, נשים וגברים, צעירים ומבוגרים מכל הדתות. הקבוצה העניקה את חולצת המירוץ.
מעבר לכך, ציינה כי ישנה חשיבות עצומה בעת הזו למשלחת ישראלית שכמותנו.
רותם הסבירה בפירוט רב אודות מדינת קפריסין, יחסיה עם ישראל ותפקידו של משרד החוץ והשגרירות פה.
החברים שאלו שאלות ורותם ענתה בנדיבות.
אמרה שתנסה לפעול בתחום זה של עולם הריצה עם לקווי עיוורים ועיוורים בקפריסין ולחבר וליצור שת״פ בענף זה.
