A group from all over the United States came for a tour and visit to our home at Kibbutz Ein-Gedi and to hear about how young pioneers who had only a dream to make in one of the hottest deserts in the lowest place in the world -"a garden of Eden."

דמיינו לעצמכם,
קקטוסים וסקולנטים, עצים מהרי דרום אמריקה. עצים שחיים עד גיל אלפיים שנה, כמו הבאובב...או הציבה המחומשת הענקית מברזיל שנשתלה ב-1998 ובכל זאת, אי אפשר לראות את החלק העליון שלה. יש לנו כל כך הרבה מה להראות לכם בסיור שלנו בגן הבוטני ובסיפור של קיבוץ עין-גדי. מגיעים אלינו מכל התבל ובאמת נדהמים ממה שנעשה באחד המדבריות הלוהטות בעולם..אבל...אנחנו עוד יותר מופתעים מהתגובות של הישראלים שמגיעים לסיור ומתרגשים לגלות עין-גדי מזוית אחרת לגמרי ממה שהם חשבו.
מצפים לפגוש אתכם 🙂
Imagine,
cacti, and succulents, trees from high up in the mountains of South America. Trees that live to be two thousand years old, like the Baobab...or the giant Ciba from Brazil planted in 1998 and yet, one cannot see the top of it. We have so much to show you on our tour of the botanical garden and of the founding of Kibbutz Ein-Gedi. People come to us from all over the world and they are truly amazed at what has been done in one of the hottest deserts in the world..BUT...WE are even more amazed at the excitement of the Israelis who come for the tour and to see their surprise of what unfolds on the way.

אנשים מכל העולם מבקרים בגן הבוטני של עין-גדי ושומעים כיצד חלקת האדמה הזו במדבר הפכה לבית של למעלה מ-850 צמחים מכל רחבי אפריקה ועד סין. זה הבית שלנו כבר 52 שנים ואנו רוצים לשתף אתכם בסיפור שלנו. סיור וביקור בביתנו בקיבוץ- "The Taste of Ein-Gedi"

Here I am at the Ein-Gedi botanical garden leading a group from all over the country. Telling our story-a dream, the building of a kibbutz in one of the hottest deserts in the world.
People from all over the world are visiting the botanical garden of Ein-Gedi and hearing about how this plateau in the desert has become a home to over 850 plants from all over from Africa to China.
