Huge congratulations to club member David Herlihy on his unbelievable achievement of completing the Norn Iron 100 challenge on the causeway coast. This was a gruelling 106 mile (110 miles for David) run over all terrains. We wish him the very best in his recovery after picking up an injury with 55km to go. He crossed the line in 10th place.

Congratulations also to local men Jimmy Barron and Richard Stilwell on completing the challenge over the two days.

T – 10 weeks to our Youghal Bay 10km and ½ marathon, and we are looking forward to welcoming all our participants to our lovely seaside town 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Attached are two basic 10- week training plans to guide you through the next ten weeks, with Thursday evenings focused on interval training (our members are encouraged to come to our inclusive sessions at Tower Park, other local athletes and visitors welcome too)..

We are still looking for two pacers for 1:25 for our half marathon, and we are currently looking at a 2:20 group potentially to help our participants achieve their personal goals..

20260531 – Cork City Marathon

Good representation at the Cork City Marathon this morning with 6 full marathon, 7 half-marathon and 7 10k participants. A mixture of sunshine, with a little scatter of rain in part and a healthy breeze at times, meant the runners were treated to good running conditions.

Well done to all on their training block, their race ex*****on, and enjoy the R&R in the coming days 😊

In order to get some athletes over the line in their desired time for our Youghal Bay Half Marathon we are looking for experienced athletes who are interested in pacing them. If you are an athlete who could comfortably pace the 1:20, 1:25, 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00 or 2:10 half marathon dm us and let us know.
