From a little ballerina, to today graduating in London from the Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Dance Teaching (Ballet) ❤️

Today was such a proud moment as Jessica received her award from Dame Darcey Bussell, President of the Royal Academy of Dance. ✨

It has been such a privilege to watch you grow into the confident, talented and wonderful young woman you are. Your dedication, passion and love for ballet shine through in everything you do, and your ballerinas at Wicklow School of Dance absolutely adore you. 🩰🤍

We are so lucky to have Ms Jessica as part of our team and we cannot wait to see you continue to inspire, encourage and nurture the next generations of ballerinas, just as so many wonderful teachers have inspired you along the way. 🌟

Meet Miss Jessica 🤍

Jessica began her ballet journey at just three years old at Wicklow School of Dance, where she completed numerous RAD examinations and performed in many of the school’s shows.

She went on to spend a year at the College of Dance before beginning her degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Trinity College Dublin.

Having assisted with classes and summer camps at both Wicklow School of Dance and Dublin Dance School for many years, Jessica began her teacher training with the Royal Academy of Dance, completing the Certificate in Dance Teaching (Ballet) and qualifying as a Registered RAD Teacher in 2025. 🩰

Jessica is delighted to now have the opportunity to teach at the school where she was once a student, helping each dancer to grow in confidence, develop their skills and, most importantly, nurture their love of dance. 🤍

We are so lucky to have you as part of our teaching team Miss Jessica! ✨

The countdown is on to the Wicklow School of Dance Performance 2027 at the Mermaid Theatre, Bray on 13th & 14th March 2027! 🌟

Every two years our dancers step onto the stage to perform in a professional theatre, creating memories that last a lifetime. From our tiniest dancers taking their very first bow to our senior students showcasing years of dedication, this is a truly special experience for everyone.
