Athletics Wicklow are delighted to announce the inaugural 10km Road Race Championships, taking place alongside the Lakes 10km Road Race on Saturday 12th September 2026.

This is a fast 10k route around the beautiful Blessington Lakes and will be a great test for runners in the county.

Lakeshore Striders Athletics Club have gone from strength to stength in the county, supporting championships and coming away with a strong haul of medals at our recent 5km road race. We look forward to collaborating with them for their annual run.

Glendalough AC reclaimed the Club Cup Trophy at the fifth edition of the Athletics Wicklow Off‑Road Running Championships, returning to the top spot for the first time since 2023.

The Athletics Wicklow Off-Road Championships are fast approaching, with just over three weeks to go!

Registration is open for this year's Championships, which will take place on Saturday, 15 August. Once again, the event will be hosted in conjunction with Glendalough AC.'s Run the Ridge Mountain Trail Race, starting and finishing at Laragh GAA Grounds.

Upcoming Local Event - Tomnafinnoge AC 5K Road Race

Tomnafinnoge Athletics Club will host their 5K Road Race on Saturday, 26th September 2026.
Start & Finish: Tinahely Riding Club, Coolboy, Co. Wicklow, Y14 DA09
Minimum Age: 16 years
Course: The course will bring runners down the Coollattin Road for just over 2.5K before looping back towards the Tinahely Riding Club.
