So here is lifelong club member Hannah starting her instructor journey with us tonight .
Hannah’s family have been members of our club since the day it started .
So we seen her grow up from a little girl watching her brothers paddle until she was old enough to paddle herself . Then every step of her paddling journey we proudly witnessed .
Last weekend she went on her Instructor training course and has offically started to log her hours and start her journey to become a level 2 instructor .

As always we are here to support you on your journey Hannah and extremely proud you are looking ahead to help others enjoy the sport you love !

Another year with an amazing bunch of people making Ed Fest the special day that it’s always been.
75 people with massive levels of fun and joy while remembering a very special man and celebrating with his family and out club.
Massive well done to Cormac who deserved the Ed memorial trophy for his dedication towards helping others.
Thank you to everyone who baked, bought treats, hu**ed gear around, drove vans full of kit, Marshalled, Instructed and had fun.

Hard to believe but here we are with the 5th Edfest in 2026. A celebration of Eds life and legacy - a kind soul gone far too soon.

The day will be filled with activity fun and laughter to commemorate the spirit of Ed - Paddling, games, challenges, treats, refreshments and more.

The day is open to all members of Balto KC, friends and families,

Unfortunately for the water activities the minimum age is 8 but there will be plenty to do on land as well :-)

Week 2 on the river and not so sunny as last week but the smiles brightened the evening !

After a stalled start after realising we left behind gear and a mercy dash back to our storage in Stratford to collect we finally got on the river !

Lots of learning was had in-between the fun with a small trip up river with Dixie and Brianna .

Tonight truly highlighted how much we miss having a clubhouse close by to store the club’s equipment but seeing the smiles on the river makes it all worth while !
