Unfortunately, it wasn't to be for our U13's in Avondale last night. I’m sure we can all agree that the boys gave it everything and left it all on the field.

Western Gaels headed in at half time 8 points down but stormed right into the second half and drew Parnells back to within a score with minutes remaining but they just couldn’t close the gap any further.

We're super proud of the entire panel for the commitment and determination that they showed. There's a bright future ahead for this squad.

The boys will now contest the shield final in two weeks time.

Our U13's are eagerly awaiting their A Championship Semi-Final this coming Monday evening. They will play Parnell Gaels in Avondale GAA Club at 6:30 p.m.

The boys have put in a serious effort and shown great commitment to the Gaels jersey with over 25 games played and 50 training sessions put down since February.

They are a fantastic team and deserve your support on Monday evening to get them over the line! 💪

🔹️Summer Camp 2026🔹️

Thank you to everyone who came to this years Hurling Summer Camp! 🌞

We had over 60 children in attendance at the hurling camp which consisted of a day in Blessington, Hollywood, Dunlavin, Valleymount and Kilbride. Our aim was to make hurling accessible to as many children as possible in West Wicklow across the week and to ease the burden of travelling on parents/guardians.

It was a very enjoyable week of hurling before the children returned to school. Thank you to our hurling GPO, Jack Keogh, for coordinating the camp, our coaches for passing on your knowledge of the game to the next generation and to the host clubs for the use of your facilities throughout the week. Your support is very much appreciated.

Well done to the U11 boys and management who played away to Greystones this evening. It was a competitive match where the Gaels dug deep and delivered an excellent display of hurling and teamwork. Thanks to the U10 boys who stepped up tonight aswell. It is great to see such grá for the game.
