🏀 End‑of‑Season Showdown: Jessie’s Jammers vs Rosie’s Rams 🐏

What. A. Match.
From the third quarter right up to the final minute of the fourth, there was only a single basket in it — pure edge‑of‑the‑seat stuff. Both sides dug deep, but the Rams found that tiny extra gear (and maybe a sprinkle of luck!) to pull off a hard‑fought win in the end.

The Jammers’ defence was unreal all night — making the Rams work for every single score. Everyone left the court sweating, 😥 smiling, 😊 and absolutely wrecked, which is exactly how you know it was a cracker of a 🏀 game.

Well done 👏 to every single player… We’re all winners 💪 after a match like that, competitive, fun and fair!!

Huge thanks to our legends:
Coaches Jess & Róisín, assistant coach Ines, scorekeeper Lorraine, and ref William for keeping the whole show running smoothly.

We wrapped it all up with our awards, 🏆 🥇 celebrations 🎉 pizza 🍕 and a pint, 🍻 and honestly… we couldn’t have asked for a better end to the season.

From coaching basketball to supporting her community, Jess brings energy, kindness and fun to everything she does. We couldn’t be prouder to have her representing our Mothers & Others family.

It looks like they all had a fantastic day, full of fun, bonding and making special memories together.

We couldn’t be prouder to support Jess on this journey. She brings positivity, encouragement, fun and community spirit everywhere she goes, and we know she is enjoying every second of this experience ❤️🏀

What a brilliant day we had at the Cobh Blitz! 🏀

We were delighted to have 2 teams entered and it was a fantastic mix of fun and competitive basketball all day.

Our Glanmire 1 team, captained by Gobnait Mc Grath were outstanding – winning all 3 of their games 👏🔥
Glanmire 2, captained by Tracy Ní Choitir Burns, were hugely competitive throughout and very unlucky not to come away with a couple of wins – great effort from all! 💪

A massive thank you to Cobh Basketball Club Social Basketball team for organising such a well-run and enjoyable day. It was a great experience for everyone involved 😊

What a fantastic day we had at our Blitz! 🏀

There was great basketball, great fun, and an even better group of people. It was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves while also raising an incredible €1,090 for Cork Rose Selection & Marymount University Hospital & Hospice 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success:

– Everyone who bought tickets and supported us
– All the players who took part
– Our amazing helpers on the day – scorekeepers, timekeepers, raffle sellers
