What a brilliant day we had at the Cobh Blitz! 🏀

We were delighted to have 2 teams entered and it was a fantastic mix of fun and competitive basketball all day.

Our Glanmire 1 team, captained by Gobnait Mc Grath were outstanding – winning all 3 of their games 👏🔥
Glanmire 2, captained by Tracy Ní Choitir Burns, were hugely competitive throughout and very unlucky not to come away with a couple of wins – great effort from all! 💪

A massive thank you to Cobh Basketball Club Social Basketball team for organising such a well-run and enjoyable day. It was a great experience for everyone involved 😊

What a fantastic day we had at our Blitz! 🏀

There was great basketball, great fun, and an even better group of people. It was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves while also raising an incredible €1,090 for Cork Rose Selection & Marymount University Hospital & Hospice 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success:
– All the businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes
– Everyone who bought tickets and supported us
– All the players who took part
– Our amazing helpers on the day – scorekeepers, timekeepers, raffle sellers
– And of course, everyone who made sandwiches and the beautiful cakes

A special thank you to Wellbean Coffee for generously donating both the 1st prize and the shootout prize ☕️

Huge thanks to St Paul’s Basketball for inviting us to their Jeremiah “Skip” Buckley Basketball Tournament 🏀

We had a brilliant day of basketball 🏀 a well-organised event and all for a great cause. Even though we didn’t bring home any silverware, we enjoyed every game and improved with each one 💪

A massive thank you to our amazing coach Róisín, who really put us through our paces once she got there! As a true team player she even jumped in for the last 2 minutes of the semi-final to try help us get over the line but unfortunately time just ran out, we are lucky to have her ❤️

Grab your friends, teammates, workmates or family and come along for a great afternoon of basketball, fun and community spirit — all for a great cause💛
We’re hosting a 3v3 Blitz 🏀 in support of our Coach Jess in the Cork Rose Selection 2026 and Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, and we would LOVE to see as many teams and supporters there as possible.
