HIRING β€” Part-Time (Large Group & Semi-Private Coach)

I'm looking for the right person to join me in coaching some fantastic people in my private gym in Campile, New Ross.

We’re a small, client-focused private gym delivering Large Group training sessions and Semi-Private Personal Training. This role could be ideal for someone who is recently qualified or currently studying and looking for evening work. You'll need a passion for fitness and helping others and want to develop your coaching skills in a supportive environment.

About the role
You’ll coach from the whiteboard plan for Large Group sessions and coach clients through their individual programmes in Semi-PT. You’ll also help keep the space safe & tidy and learn our systems, exercise progressions/regressions, and the β€˜why’ behind our programme design.

What's involved?
β€’ Mid-week evening hours plus one mid-week morning
β€’ Arrive before sessions to prepare
β€’ Coach Group classes
β€’ Coach Semi-PT clients through their programmes
β€’ Light tidy/close-down after sessions
β€’ Learn our SOPs, coaching method, and progression system

Who we’re looking for:
β€’ Ideally someone already qualified in Personal Training or group fitness instruction
(If not yet qualified, you must be willing to complete a recognised PT or Group Ex qualification before starting. I can support you through this.)
β€’ Someone who regularly trains with weights & is familiar with the gym environment
β€’ Friendly, welcoming, and naturally helpful β€” someone who can make people feel comfortable
β€’ Clear, confident communicator who can coach with simplicity and clarity
β€’ Positive, calm energy, even when sessions are busy
β€’ Dependable with high personal standards
β€’ Growth mindset β€” open to learning, feedback, and developing as a coach
β€’ Coaching experience is helpful but not essential
(We can teach the coaching method)

Hours & schedule
Part-time: starting @ approx. 10 hours per week
Evenings plus one mid-week morning
(Hours may change and evolve with demand)

How to apply
Email your CV to [email protected]

Progress in the gym isn’t just about lifting heavier

Here are 20 other ways you might be improving without even realising it:

1. Using better technique – smoother, more controlled movements with less risk of injury.
2. More control – being able to pause, slow down, and own every rep.
3. Faster recovery – catching your breath quicker between sets or workouts.
4. Improved mobility – joints moving more freely and comfortably.
5. Better balance – feeling steadier during exercises and in daily life.
6. More energy – having more fuel in the tank for work, family, and fun.
7. Increased confidence – feeling stronger inside and outside the gym.
8. Clothes fitting better – noticing changes in shape and how you carry yourself.
9. Sleeping deeper – waking up more rested and ready to go.
10. Better posture – standing taller and moving with more ease.
11. Less morning stiffness – feeling looser and ready to start the day.
12. Stronger grip – holding onto weights, tools, or bags with more ease.
13. More consistent training – turning workouts into a regular habit.
14. Lower resting heart rate – a sign of improving cardiovascular health.
15. Improved focus – sharper thinking during workouts and everyday tasks.
16. Same weight feels easier – a clear sign your strength has increased.
17. Moving without pain – less discomfort during lifts and daily activities.
18. Greater range of motion – reaching further, bending deeper, moving better.
19. Happier mood – feeling more positive and less stressed.
20. Looking forward to workouts – shifting mindset from β€œI have to” to β€œI want to.”
