Hi Folks, I just wanted to let people know that after 13 great years, I’ve hung up the booties for Saoirse na Mara. We had made the decision to close anyway, and Covid just made sure of it. I’m looking forward to many Happy Summers, being there for my girls! I’d like to say a huge thank you the great people who worked with me over the years, especially Charlene, Ruairi, Damien and Nick – who worked tirelessly, and always kept me smiling even when times were tough! Huge thanks too to Geo, Stephen, Pauline and Orla at the Outdoor Education course in GMIT, Castlebar, for all their support over the years, and Pat in River Deep Mountain High for helping me set up in the first place. Another big thanks to Kris and Tatiana at Clifden Eco-Beach campsite for hosting Saoirse na Mara for the last 3 Summers. To all of you who came out on the water rain hail or even snow! - And most of all to my wonderful family for putting up with the years of wet wetsuits, all night emails, and not having their Dad around half as much as he should have been – Thank You All!!!!! Hopefully see you all on the water some time soon! Ali
