Summer Holidays! Keep Safe & Enjoy :-)
Today, over half a million primary school children will start their summer holidays in Ireland, yet many of them will lack an awareness of how to stay safe when playing in aquatic environments. Forty children drowned in a ten year period and many drown silently in a matter of seconds and in just a few inches of water. Children are naturally curious about water therefore please, before their first summer trip to Irish waterways, prompt your kids to visit one of Irish Water Safety's websites to play games, do exercises and learn all about staying safe around water - www.aquaattack.ie.
