Just a small piece on both of our qualifications.
Aisling is in her third year at Cork Institute of Technology studying Early Years Education, earning excellent results in modules such as Exercise and Play for Children, Adapted Physical Activity for the Young Child, and modules involving promoting and developing the Holistic Health of children. She is also a Gaelic Football coach and Child Welfare Officer for her local GAA club - Dungarvan Ladies Football Club.
I am also studying in Cork Institute of Technology, however I am studying Recreation and Leisure Management. This involves practicing and perfecting modules such as Resistance and Circuit Training, Exercise to Music, Activity Leadership, and Intermediate Sports Coaching. All of these modules focus on developing the Fundamental Movement Skills of children and adults and were completed with brilliant results. I also have qualifications in coaching sports and activities such as football, soccer, gymnastics, handball, rugby and hurling; all of which are activities which may be used to further develop and aid children's basic movement skills and therefore improve their quality of fitness and health.
