Exciting club news. Newtown & Guillamene Swimming Club are delighted to announce the winner and runner ups to the recent club logo competition that had many entries. We would like to thank all students
from our local Ard Scoil Na Mara here in Tramore that submitted an entry to the competition.

Congratulations to Caitlyn Ablett who had the winning design.

Congratulations to our two runner ups Martha Byrne and Alex Wade on extremely strong designs.

The club also wishes to thank the judges, Gary Walsh (committee member), local professional artist Ken O'Neill & local graphics designer Leon Murphy.

Hi All,

The committee of Newtown & Guillamene Swimming Club would like to thank everyone involved in the running of this year's Snamh Fada. In particular we would like to thank all the voluntary organisations, the RNLI, Tramore Sea Rescue, Tramore Coastguard, Tramore Order of Malta and Water Safety Ireland Waterford, that ensured the safety of all the swimmers. We are very fortunate that these organisations provided us with 2 rescue boats and 20 lifeguards because without their commitment and giving up their time we would not be able to hold the Snamh Fada. We would also like to thank all those that helped with the registration, checking in and out the swimmers as they entered the water. In addition we would like to thank the Tea Ladies for again providing teas, coffees and an a delightful range of homemade goodies at the Pier. This created a wonderful atmosphere where the swimmers could relax and enjoy their achievement with their families over a cuppa in the wonderful sunshine. Finally we would like to thank Molly's for providing the coffee cups.
