🔥 Today marks the thrilling conclusion of the prestigious ISKA amateur world championships. We're excited to have still in the tournament, giving it his all!
🥉 Before we continue, let's take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey of Joni Hayes. Just a little over a year ago, she embarked on this path, and now she proudly brings home a bronze in her first world championships. We couldn't be prouder! Joni is forever etched in history as the first world championship medalist from the Phoenix family. 🏆
❌ Unfortunately, Darragh had an unlucky draw with his opponent, and I made the tough call to prioritize his safety and withdraw him from the fight. Above all else, safety is paramount. While Darragh may be disappointed and annoyed at me for stopping it, I will never allow my fighters to be unnecessarily hurt. Take the time to enjoy the rest of your trip, Darragh, as we'll regroup, refocus, and come back even stronger next year! 💪
💪 Jamie, who showcased incredible courage, faced his first fight head-on. It takes immense bravery to step into the ring, especially with limited experience. Jamie's Australian opponent recognized this and tactfully targeted the body, showing great respect and sportsmanship. Hats off to you, Bruce, a true class act!
