HAPPY CHRISTMAS FROM ALL AT LITTLE VIKINGS!!
We finished a super year for the Little Vikings in style last night with a special visit from Santa who took a break from his busy workload to say well done to a brilliant group of young athletes!!
With sweet treats and some super cool Little Vikings oodies (big thanks to all at Excel Promotions) thrown in too - a great night had by all!!

We’re already looking forward to next year and continuing to build our group with new athletes and hopefully new volunteers (If anyone could spare an hour or two any Tuesday, no commitment to it being every week, please let us know!).

Special thanks from all at Little Vikings to our friends and supporters at Cill Barra Sports Hall, Alfie Hale Sports; and especially the staff and management of Sanofi Waterford for their amazing fundraising efforts earlier this year which has seen us expand our athlete numbers, add to our specialist equipment and help in the setting up of a new Special Olympics club for our Little Vikings graduates!

From all the coaches & committee of Little Vikings, we’d like to wish all our athletes and their families, a happy, safe and joyful Christmas & New Year.

Deise Stars Special Olympics Sports Club are seeking an athletics coach for the newest Special Olympics club in Waterford. The club will cater for boys and girls aged 11-15 with an intellectual disability.

We are delighted to announce that Sanofi Waterford have chosen Little Vikings as the beneficiary of their upcoming “Night at the Oscars” fundraiser.

With Sanofi Global being a partner of the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, it is fantastic that they are also supporting clubs at the local level.

All are welcome to attend the event, being held in the Tower Hotel on Friday 1st of March at 8pm. Tickets are €20 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code on the poster, or by following this link -

We had a great finish to our Little Vikings year with a visit from Santa. Lots of fun had by all (with of course a chocolate treat too!) before we all enjoy a well earned Christmas break!
Well done to all our Little Vikings Young Athletes who have been making huge progress all year!
Thanks so much to all our volunteers and coaches who have put in so much work and effort and without whom we couldn't run our club.
We hope all our athletes, volunteers, coaches, committee, club friends (Cill Barra; Ian Keohan Siobhan Murphy , Alfie Hale Sports and more) and all their families have a safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in 2024!!

To round off a super season of Little Vikings action we had a special visit to Activate Waterford where all the gang had a brilliant time in their awesome soft play area. A fitting and fun way to end a wonderful year!!

Thanks to all who have helped us throughout the year, in particular Alfie Hale Sports (thanks to Darryl for sorting super t-shirts), Julie & all the team at Cill Barra Sports Hall and especially GPs Siobhan Murphy & Sharon O'Donnell along with local GPs and their hospital colleagues for their super fundraiser and as always Ian and friends from I_Keohan_Coaching for their brilliant continued support.
Special thanks to all our coaches & volunteers without whom none of our sessions could take place - 👏👏👏👏👏.

We have been striving to increase our athlete numbers over the past season to allow us provide this much needed outlet for so many children. To allow us continue this work we urgently require new volunteers to come on board. If you can spare just one hour per week we would love to hear from you.
