Catalina Express Lands in Cherrytree Ahead of Derry GP for a WASPA

Cherrytree Walkinstown hosted a lively Bank Holiday Monday afternoon WASPA tournament as the Catalina Express rolled into Dublin, bringing with it an international flavour, a Barcelona connection, and a serious warm-up for this weekend’s Derry Grand Prix.The afternoon featured six players in a full round-robin format, but the headline act was the arrival of Richard and Albert, the Catalonian brothers from Barcelona FT, who had flown over to Ireland ahead of competing in the Derry GP this coming weekend....

What a day, big thanks to all that attended. Congratulations to the winners Mark Farrell taking the win, Mario Fitzplastickpaddy runner up. Daniel shield winner followed by Louis Herbert in second and Elliot taking the Junior Win from Rosin Hogan in a penalty shootout. Big shout to Daniel for a big help with organising and Mark for well shouting 😂. All the lads for helping me with clean up. And of course the heart of Walkinstown Cherrytree Walkinstown for being the most fantastic hosts.
