Imbolc festival is upon us, also called St. Bridgids day, it means whoo hooo its SPRING!!
Imbolc means 'in the belly of the mother' because the seeds are getting ready to sprout from the earth. This day people put blue handkerchiefs in the trees (representing Brigits magical cloak ) and outside their doors for protection and healing, and people keep the bridgid dolls woven from straw by the fire to keep them warm, they also make the straw crosses you see in the trees, in ireland some people make the big straw plaits you see the lamb jumping thru, and put them in their doorways for people to walk thru. Airmed. The celtic goddess of healing and herbs. As she weeps at the grave of her dead brother, her tears fell on his burial mound, and all the healing herbs of the world sprang up and grew and taught her all of their healing. A chat I had with Siobhan Guthrie of Kinesiologyzone about my Journey of learning over the past 10 years. From being a full time Physiotherapist, to integrating Kinesiology into my practise and how it changed my life and career. To now writing a children's book to teach parents and kids about these amazing tools they can use to benefit their own lives.

From Physiotherapist to adding Systematic Kinesiologist to incorporate more into her practice, Margaret is now an author too! Hear about her exciting journey from burn out, to motherhood, and how she now has a more balanced life. Margaret has just written a children's book with beautiful illustrations that combines balancing techniques with affirmations and empowering stories.

In her free time, Margaret loves learning, being in nature, delving into areas such as wellness, health, and spiritual development. She is the Mother of Meabh & Libby, who inspired her to write this book. Her goal is to spread her passion for creative and healthy living, so everyone can lead a more fulfilled life.

Myths and Meridians.
Illustrating this book was pure inspiration, the imagery of the irish myths is quite literally mind-blowing. The goddess Danu, is the mother of the gods and all things, and is thought to have roots in many cultures, she is thought to be a primordial water goddess and made the Tuatha Dé Dannon, the race of gods that presided over ireland. She is married to Bilé, who is a tree.. she helped the tuatha dé dannon (later known as the fae) to escape over the sea to Ireland by bringing down a magical mist to hide them..its difficult to know where to start when you're presented by so many elements and becomes a process of research, immersion and letting the myth unfold.

The goddess Brigid, is the daughter of the Dagda. She represents fire with her flaming hair and water, the perfect balance. She held the divine abilities of wisdom, knowledge, creativity and transformation, she has links to blacksmithing, poetry , motherhood and fertility and spring. She has two large red-eared oxen named Fe and Men. She gives protection to livestock and the home. The oystercatcher, lark and linnet as well as bees are sacred to her. This is the Dagda. He is the chief of the Tuatha dé Danann and the foremost of the irish gods. He is the god of life and death, the weather and seasons, fertility and agriculture, magic and druidry.
He has three sacred treasures, a cauldron of plenty, a club of life and death and a magical living harp carved of oak that controlled men and the seasons. He is skilled and wise beyond measure..

I Really enjoyed a impromptu Chakra lesson this morning with our 3 year old.

Learning about the names, the colors, the crystals and the affirmations. 

Testing each other using kinesiology and balancing ourselves with tuning forks. A fun way to spend the morning.
