. Introducing our new .22LR Open Competition
Smallbore Target Rifle and Match Rifle Sunday 31 May 2026
Calibre .22LR only. Distance 300 yards. Course of fire: 2 convertible sighting shots and 20 to score. Start time 10:00am.
Target Rifle Rules:
Bolt Action Rifle, .22LR calibre, no weight limits, manually adjustable aperture sights, foresight may have a dioptre up to +0.5. Shooting jacket, padded glove and sling of maximum width 50mm.
Match Rifle Rules:
Bolt Action Rifle, .22LR calibre, Iron magnifying or telescopic sights may be fitted. The forward hand may also be rested, but the rifle itself may not touch the rest, and the butt may not be rested or touch the ground.
Target,
Target will be a modified McQueen’s 300-yard target, 553mm aiming mark.
Zeroing
To enable zeroing of you rifle at 300 yards you will need the following;
Aperture Sights: 10mm riser block under the rear sight will suffice to get from 50m to 300 yards.
Telescopic Sights: 20moa rail + scope rings with adjustable elevation, e.g. Burris XTR rings.
25-meter Zeroing charts will be available on the range the Saturday before the event and on the morning of the event.
Non MNSCI members: please bring ID, Fi****ms Cert, Prof of Insurance.
