We finished off our season on a high last Friday. We held our annual invitational event with Rahan Badminton Club!

The night proved to be a great success as we had a big numbers of players from Clara and Rahan Badminton Clubs playing a mixture of doubles and mixed doubles matches. Everyone played in lots of games- both courts being used for a couple of hours where there was super Badminton on display 🏸🏸🏸

The players were delighted with a drink and treats after all the matches and there was a cuppa and lovely home baking for the many parents in attendance.

Thanks to all the coaches, players and parents from Rahan Badminton Club for coming over to play in this event and we look forward to future events between our Clubs.

Well done to our Club players Ross, Tom, Sam, Adam, Zach and Jamie on a brilliant performance in the Community Games County Final tonight V Mucklagh/ Rahan/ The Island. All the games were so tight and the result could have gone either way but it was not to be on this occasion. All the Club coaches and parents in attendance left the hall extremely proud of our lads' brilliant performance tonight👌 👏💪🏸🏸 Best of luck to MRI in the next round of the Community Games🏸🏸

Huge Congratulations has to go to our Club Members Sam, Adam, Millie Marie and Chloe representing Clara National Schools today. They won 3rd Place in the Plate Competition of the Offaly Schools Badminton Competition.

It was a marathon of an event due to the huge amount of teams entered! Clara had to play 8 rounds of matches with 4 games in each match!🏸🏸 super proud of them all🤗 special mention has to go to Chloe Moran who played in her first ever Competition today👏🏸

Community Games 2026🏸🏸🏸

Congratulations to the Clara Community Games Badminton team who won their County Semi Final match tonight V Edenderry👏👏

We were proud to host the event and we were treated to lots of exciting singles and doubles games enjoyed by the families and friends of both teams.

Many thanks to Sandy, Leonie and Greg for preparing the hall for the event and for the refreshments!

Clara are now through to the County Final when we will play MRI (Mucklagh, Rahan, The Island).

Well done to Kelly Shirley and Millie Marie Kelly who played in Round 1 of the County Girls Doubles Competition today. The girls played so well and all the games were very close and great to watch.
