Tullamore Cycling and Touring Club would like to thank all those who joined us today for The Pat Colgan Pedal the Peaks Challenge.

It was great to see friends who support us year in, year out, and new faces enthusiastically taking on the challenge.

We couldn’t have this event without our sponsors for their kind donations: Tullamore Credit Union, Glenisk, Castle Paints, Mahon Oil, Musgrave, Carroll O’Keeffe, Honey Bean, Midland Hygiene Products, Boora Bainne, and Doolans Kilcormac.

Thank you to Tullamore Harriers and Kinnitty Community Group for the use of their premises — superb facilities on the day.

To the Colgan family, our club and family members at the various stations, athmosphere created by Mark McGuire, lead and sweeper drivers, our marshals, motorbike marshals, Order of Malta, Paula manning our emergency phone, members of the Tullamore Camera Club, Paul Bergin assisted by Linda for their fabulous burgers afterwards, Offaly Co Co for looking after the roads for us and to anyone who helped out in any way to make this day happen — an enormous thank you.

Thanks also to the team from the Offaly Branch of the Irish Kidney Association for looking after the food stop in Kinnitty and for marshalling there.

Tullamore Cycling & Touring Club would like to congratulate our long time prominent member and club president Eddie Scully, who won the IVCA over 80s road race today on the open roads around the Curragh racecourse in Co. Kildare.
