Wow. What a fantastic facility. Great to see sport being promoted in this way. Considering the current provision for Tramore, it would be fantastic if this could be replicated here.

Well. It's been a blast of a season. As we finished up with our traditional parents/kids tag match, in the rain, but not enough to dampen our spirits or melt our ice creams. In keeping with the ethos of minis Rugby, awards were given for most improved and unsung hero at each age group. These awards recognise character, commitment and grit over ability. We say goodbye to our super U12 group who will play youth rugby in other clubs next year. We would love to keep you but alas, c'est La vie! This year has been a great year for the club and we now have almost 20% more players than we did last year. As soon as we get that pitch we can try and ensure that the conveyor belt of talent remains in Tramore. Although, let's hope our local secondary school will be able to keep the boys playing together next season. Fingers crossed. Onwards and upwards.

We had 180 primary school kids at a tag blitz in Ard Scoil secondary school today. Our Community and Club Resource Officer, Dermot did a super job organising this. Thanks to all the development officers and other staff from Munster Rugby for facilitating as well as the School staff and TY students from Ard Scoil. Super stuff.

As we approach the end of our season, we can say without hesitation, what a fantastic weekend it's been for some of our minis groups. Our U11s travelled to Thomond Park to play Tralee RFC in the half time game during the Ulster V Munster match. They played absolutely fantastic rugby and were a credit to their club, coaches and parents. The squad also got to meet many of their Rugby hero's after the game which left them super enthused. Our U10s traveled to the Athy Rugby campout and played a multitude of teams from across Ireland. They matched all of the clubs they came up against and it was super watching them adapt, off their own initiative, to the faster game and higher standard particularly around the rooks and breakdown. No matter what, the group showed super character and proper Tramore RFC grit throughout the entire tournament and will undoubtedly become an even better team as the years progress. Although, their tug of war skills in the after blitz games could have been better!!! Well done to all players, coaches and parents. This club and community are extremely proud of you. Onwards and upwards.

Our minis had another super outing to Carrick On Suir RFC today for a fun filled blitz. As we approach the tail end of the season it is great to see how much all the kids have developed through the winter months and no doubt their rugby knowledge and skills will benefit whichever sports the kids will play over the summer. Most importantly, lots of fun had been had this year...even during the muddy wet periods.

Rugby in Tramore is getting stronger every year.

Thanks to all the parents, players and coaches for supporting the day and many thanks to our rugby buddies in Carrick for hosting a great day out.

Also, a big shout out goes to all the current and ex Tramore players who played in an U16 pan Munster Final in Thomond Park Saturday, but were unlucky not to win the cup. Onwards and Upwards!!

No Training at the GAA to tomorrow as we are at a Blitz in Carrick.
