Last Wednesday, members of Tramore Pétanque Club were delighted to meet with representatives from Waterford Sports Partnership to personally thank them for their incredible support and help in building new boules court in Tramore.

This fantastic facility simply would not have been possible without their help. Thanks to their engagement and commitment, Tramore now has a wonderful pétanque (boules) space that can be enjoyed by our club members and the wider community. It is an invaluable asset for Tramore and a significant addition to the choice of activities in the town, while also making a great contribution to outdoor sports facilities for all ages in our beautiful seaside community.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to the Environments Department of Waterford City and County Council for their invaluable contribution of planning and project management.

Finally, we are very grateful to the funders — the Department of Sport and Physical Education, Gaeltacht and Sport Ireland — for their support in making this project a reality.

🎉 Great news,Tramore!
We are delighted to announce that our new boules courts are now ready to play on🤹‍♀️.
A heartfelt thank-you to Waterford Sports Partnership and Waterford City County Council for making this possible.

We are hopeful that the courts will be extended next year as interest in the sport continues to grow at a fantastic pace. A special word of thanks to
Cllr Eamon Quinlan for his invaluable support in this project.

These new pistes are a wonderful addition to Tramore offering both locals and visitors another great opportunity to enjoy a fun, social, fresh-air activity. It’s a great achievement and a real step forward in promoting outdoor sports in our community.

We had a truly lovely celebration on Saturday – and it wouldn’t have been possible without every single one of you. Your contributions, commitment, and effort are what keep this club alive and thriving. 🥳

It’s been a whole year since we set up Tramore Pétanque Club on the 24th of July 2024! What began as a simple idea to bring Pétanque to Tramore has grown into a vibrant, welcoming community of players who share a love for the game, and plenty of good fun. We are going to have a little celebration this Saturday (weather permitting)with a friendly competition and a chance to get together and enjoy the day! 🤗🤗🤗

A big thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey. It’s been a fantastic year and we’re hoping to continue growing.

🎉 Exciting News from Tramore Pétanque Club! 🎉
Thanks to the fantastic support from Waterford Sports Partnership, our very own pétanque court is officially out to tender this week! 🏗️👏
The court will be built in a beautiful spot—right between the two trees, just to the left of the gravel steps where we currently play. We're now one big step closer to having a dedicated space for the club! 🥳
This will be a fantastic facility for the whole community and a great boost for the development of new sporting activities in Tramore. 💪
We’ll keep you updated as things progress, and it looks like it won’t be long before we’re playing on our very own court.
A huge thanks to everyone for your support so far. Stay tuned—more great news coming soon! 🙌
