Tramore Camogie Club

Tramore Camogie Club At the beginning of 1984 all clubs in the County were gearing themselves to win the Championship in what was a very special Centenary Year.

Our Tramore girls quickly made an impact in the Junior Championship by defeating Butlerstown and Ring, thereby setting up a Centenary Final confrontation with Touraneena. It became apparent from the start of the game that the Tramore girls were not going to let this special championship slip their grasp and at the final whistle had outclassed a game Touraneena by 3-2 to 1-4. Tramore were Centenary

Champions and Touraneena were left with a century of preparation for the next one. The following players did us proud on that memorable occasion: Joan Burns, Ann Piper, Bernie Carbery, Geraldine Sullivan, Caroline McCormack, Theresa Murray, Bernie Cowman, Gaye Gavin (Capt.), Maria Pollard, Helen Caulfield, Mary Purcell, and Helen Crowley.
