Photoshoot prep
Katie came to me to try 1 gym session as she wanted to change up her training she was doing with her previous personal trainer.
1 session went by and she kept coming back for more. 3 gym sessions down the road and Katie wanted to challenge herself and do a photoshoot prep. Given that Katie already had a low % of bodyfat and was injury free I agreed to help her smash a photoshoot prep.
Training in the gym was where Katie gave me 110% BUT der was a one and half week holiday in the middle of the 12 week prep where Katie went a little nuts and partied like a rockstar . Once she came back from her holiday she was very honest with me and said she partied like crazy and consuned ridiculous amount of bad fioods but in her defence she got a few mountain hikes in on her trip also. I took a look at her in the gym after that 10 day p**s up and to be honest Katie was still on track to look amazing at the photoshoot so I said "Arit ur partying is done and out of ur system so it's time to knuckle down over the next 5 week's and get ur abs shredded and glutes popping.
Katie was the wild child during the photoshoot prep but as I said once I had her in the gym her training intensity was through the roof and the last 5 week's of prep she did everything I asked of her and more . The clearest example I can give of this is simply by showing ye her body measurments.
SKINFOLDS WEEK1= WEEK 10=
Addomimal(stomach)= 21mm 9.5nnn
Thigh 37mm 15mm
Suprailiac 14.5mm 5.5mm
TAPE MEASUREMENTS= WEEK1= WEEK 9=
Widest part of glutes= 90.7cm 91cm
Thigh = 52cm 52.1cm
Stomach (bellybutton) 80.4cm 71.4cm
Now those measurments might not make sense to the general population so to explain them in short . Her body fat skinfolds dropped by more than half around her stomach and thighs but the measuring tape went up slightly in the same areas. This means we dropped a sh*tloads of bodyfat while increasing the size of her glute muscles, increasing the size of her quads and hamstring muscles slightly and we knocked 9cm off her waist . Bigger perkier glutes,stronger more toned legs and a new tiny waist sure isn't that what every woman wants.
Katies goals for the photoshoot were bigger glutes, tighter legs and arms and her main goal was to have abs. So based on the measurments I've shown above we coudnlt have had a better photoshoot prep result for Katie.
At 3 weeks out from the Photoshoot Katie actually said to me in 1 gym session =
" David I think I'm lean enough now , I'm happy with how I look now , can we keep this look for the photoshoot " Now as a trainer i was delighted to hear this . So then Katie got her Lana takeaway dinners and ice cream after her intense leg and glute sessions . This helped Katie keep that hard earned muscle and also reduced her cortisol/stress levels during the last 3 week's of her prep. YES she got takeaways ,ice cream ,Haribo sweets and chocolate and she still looked like that. If your ready and happy with your look for a photoshoot then have your extra calories and enjoy thay fuller , healthier look for your photoshoot . Over dieting will kill the look of your physique for s photoshoot .
Lockdowns didn't stop this woman either as she kept doing her cardio walks and hiking mountains because that's what she enjoyed doing. I only told her make sure you don't sprain an ankle or get lost up on the mountains .
Going into 2021 we've big plans for Katie and with her awesome genetics , hard work ethic in the gym and newly found love for the stairmaster I've no doubt Katie will achieve all her goals we've set for 2021. Watch this space.
Katie you were a joy to prep. You showed that one can have a few drinks, a night out with the girls BUT you got the hard work done inbetween and you looked stunning , lean and athletic at your photoshoot.
The first picture and the middle pic of that first picture was taken by me on my phone at the photoshoot and it truly showed not only how amazing Katie looked, how lean her abs were BUT it also showed her smiling and enjoying herself during the photoshoot. This was Katies mindset throughout the photoshoot prep. She always had a smile on her face, we had the craic on rest periods in between the serious stuff in the gym and she really enjoyed the whole process and wasn't stressed which culminated in her smashing all her fitness goals and turning upto the photoshoot looking gorgeous,feeling healthy, shredded and stress free. What a woman
