CINNAMON & OAT BANANA BREAD 🍌 Quick, simple, tasty recipe. Ideal pre training snack for training!
Great snack with a ☕️ before an afternoon workout 🏋️♀️ Nutrition Info Per Slice 194 kcal | Protein 7g | Carbs 29g | Fat 5g
INGREDIENTS: Makes 10 Slices
300g Oats
2 Eggs
3 Ripe Bananas
4 Tbsp Low Fat Greek/Natural Yoghurt
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1-2 Tbsp Cinnamon (depends how you like it!)
3 Tbsp Honey
OPTIONAL
Walnuts
Dark Choc Chips
PREPARATION
Set aside the oats in a large mixing bowl.
Blend the remainder of the ingredients & pour this mixture over the oats.
Mix thoroughly until there are no oats left dry.
Pour this mixture into a lined bread tin & place in the oven at 180C for 30-35 mins.
Remove (don’t worry if the middle doesn’t feel completely done, leaving it a bit soft & gooey is what you want) & let cool before leaving to set in the fridge overnight.
Slice into 10 slices & freeze what you don’t need to use in the next 5 days. 🥣 Oats are a low GI carbohydrates that provides a slow, sustained release of energy & can help limit fatigue during competition. 🥚 Eggs are naturally rich Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) which supports carbohydrate metabolism (helping provide us with energy)
