​And to Athlone 3, tough luck with the rain cutting the match against Dundalk short just as things were getting started, but we know you would have given it your all. Fingers crossed for better weather next time out!

WEEKEND ROUNDUP: Mixed Fortunes But Brilliant Cricket!

What a weekend of cricket for the club! While we faced some incredibly tough results across most of the fixtures, every single side fought hard in what turned out to be fantastic, highly competitive games of cricket.
The undisputed highlight of the weekend belongs to Athlone 1, who put on a clinical performance to bring home a brilliant victory!

Syed tore through the opposition, tearing up the order to claim an incredible 4 wickets!

Bhargav kept the pressure mounting from the other end, picking up a vital 3 wickets to restrict the target!

When it came to the chase, Vignesh anchored the innings beautifully, smashing a crucial 39 runs to comfortably guide the lads across the finish line!

A massive congratulations to Athlone 1 for keeping the flag flying high, and a huge shoutout to all our teams for leaving everything out on the pitch. We dust ourselves down, take the positives, and come back even stronger next week!
