We were delighted to welcome Leugh NS, Ballycahill NS, Scoil Ailbe and Gaelscoil Bhride for a fantastic day of basketball and fun. 👏
Congratulations to Ballycahill NS on being crowned overall winners! 🏆
A special mention to our own club member Rion Ryan who was awarded MVP for his outstanding performances throughout the day. ⭐👏
A huge thank you to Jason Mangan for coming in on the day, and to CBS for allowing the use of the hall.

We’re delighted to officially announce Coach Niall Berry as our new Head of Youth Development for Tipperary Talons Basketball Club. After leading our Senior Men’s team for the last few seasons, Niall has stepped away from his role on the sidelines to focus on building and developing the future of our club through our youth structure.

Niall’s dedication to player development, community, and excellence makes him the perfect person to help guide the next generation of Talons. His experience, leadership, and vision will play a huge role in shaping young athletes both on and off the court, and we can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have across our underage programmes.

The future is bright for the Talons 🦅🏀

🏀 Tipp Talons are delighted to welcome Coach Tavares as the new National League Head Coach.
A progressive young Portuguese coach with international experience, Coach Tavares brings a modern basketball philosophy built around player development, tactical preparation, and a strong team identity.
Alongside his coaching background, he has completed a Master’s degree in Sport Management at Coventry University and holds Portuguese Basketball Coach certifications through IPDJ.
Known for his work in academy systems and long-term athlete development, he was also part of Birmingham’s title-winning setup, helping shape the team’s physical and defensive identity.
We’re excited for the next chapter of Talons basketball under his leadership.

A tough battle on the road last Saturday as Tipp Talons Senior Ladies faced Welford in Kilkenny 💪
In a thrilling Top 4 clash, both teams traded the lead multiple times in a game that kept everyone on edge until the final whistle. Despite a fantastic effort, Welford edged ahead to take the win.
A huge well done to our ladies on an incredible season, finishing 3rd in the league 👏 Your hard work, determination, and team spirit all year have been outstanding. Plenty to be proud of 💙

We at Tipp Talons are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former club coach, Elaine Coughlan. Elaine along with her good friend Sue Coppinger headed a very successful group of girls for a number of seasons pre covid. Elaine was always a great presence in the club, with a hearty laugh and smile for all. Our deepest condolences to her partner Gerry, children Sean and Sarah and all her friends and family for their loss. RIP Elaine 💔🦅

Massive well done to Patrick O Keefe on his U18 National Team Selection. Patrick and his squad will head to Croatia this summer to compete in the FIBA Youth Eurobasket where they play Belguim, Great Britain, Finland, Netherlands and Cyprus. We are very proud of Patrick and he is a credit to his home club

Despite travelling with small numbers, the team showed incredible determination and skill to make it all the way to the final at the U12 Blitz in Nenagh 💪
The boys played three fantastic games against Nenagh Red, Nenagh White, and met Limerick Lions in a brilliant final. Every player gave it their all and represented the club with pride 🔥
A huge thank you to Nenagh Warriors for the invitation – it was a superb day for the boys! 🙌
And a special thanks to Arthur for stepping in to coach the team on the day 👏
