We put a huge amount of thought into the owner experience.

The horse is obviously front and centre but what really matters to us is how it actually feels to be involved in one of our syndicates.

We try to make sure our owners are never left wondering. They understand where their horse sits in the season, what the short term plan is and what we are building towards in the medium and long term.

Horse racing makes a lot more sense when you understand the narrative behind it.

It’s also about people. Meeting others in the syndicate. Going racing together. Visiting the yards. Bringing friends and family along and feeling proud to say “that’s our horse”.

For a lot of people this gives them something to look forward to during the week and the weekend.

Last weekend we brought a group of owners to the heart of British racing for our Newmarket Owners’ day.

We began the morning at where we saw the progress of our Bated Breath c**t.

From there we headed to to get a feel for our Lope Y Fernandez filly.

We finished taking in the stallions and discussing the process of going from the covering shed to the racecourse.

A fantastic weekend full of laughs, topped off by Ireland winning the rugby!

Thanks to everyone who joined us and to Jack, James and Joe for their generosity and openness.

Every fortnight or so, we run private stable tours of our string around Newmarket.

An opportunity for people to meet the team, see the horses and enjoy a tour of the historic HQ of horse racing.

You don’t need to be an ardent fan of horse racing to appreciate the beauty and precision that goes into training racehorses.

There are few experiences in life that can match the sheer exhilaration of seeing a thoroughbred in full flight, cutting through the morning mist at dawn on Warren Hill.

SNOW CREEK our recent HIT purchase with stretches out his front legs as he continues to impress his trainer from day to day.

Legs and racehorses have many meanings…

To “change legs” means a horse has changed its gait to lead with the other leg in a gallop, you often hear jockeys referring to this before a horse quickens.

“An extra leg” means a horse saves ifself from falling with the commentator describing the horse as finding an extra leg.

The leg I want to talk about today is to “own a leg”
