But it’s not just about the Sport side of things for us.
“The needs of our olympic athletes and grandparents differ by degree, not kind.” That is to say, everyone needs to perform an intelligently selected variety of functional movements at a level of intensity appropriate for that individual. Everyone needs to eat food that sustains, rather than harms, the body. CrossFit is physically demanding, mentally challenging. CrossFit is a living organism that grows with your ability, commitment and needs. You can go as hard or as steady as you choose. We are NOT here to shout at you, this is not a destructive bootcamp. We ARE here to ensure you learn technique and that your aim, for every rep, is to be perfect. Whether that is a kettlebell swing or squat sn**ch, our first priority is your mechanics. You should only ever feel the endorphins and muscle ache that come with training and not anything else!
Team CrossFit Louth come from a sports background - Gaelic, Soccer, Rugby, Weight Lifting, Personal Training, to name but a few. CrossFit, although a sport in its own right, can also be used to supplement your primary sport. For example, Kettlebell swings strengthen a catch, Deadlifts for the ruck, box jumps for the frees...you get the picture.
On top of that, our Coach is CrossFit Level 1 qualified since 2017, and working towards Level 2 which can not be applied for without a range of criteria met.
