Adam Walsh has been awarded "BEST OVERALL MALE BOXER" of the International Halloween Belfast Box Cup 2025.
What an amazing achievement for this young man who defied all odds today and over the whole weekend.
Only a few weeks ago he boxed the current English ABA Champion and was beaten by him in the first round of a Box Cup. Adam used this defeat to fuel him and work on areas that were targeted to improve his performances and technical ability. Adam worked so hard in training and sparring to keep progressing and working on his skills base. But this award was not just about today. As the officials and referee's expressed after the award 'he caught their eye over the 3 days' with his dazzling skill base, speed and accuracy over the whole 3 days against top class opposition.
On Saturday he faced a tough come forward Bobby Hand from Corinthians Boxing Club who is renowned on the circuit. Adam stood 'toe to toe' with him out fighting him at times and out-boxing him with his skills when needed to win by unanimous decision.
Yesterday he boxed Louis Holmes from Corpis Christi who is the current Ulster Champion and All Ireland Silver Medalist. It was another outstanding performance of skill, shot selection, timing and hard hitting combinations to dominate such a high caliber boxer to win by unanimous decision.
Then, what can we say about today, when words are not enough. He faced Jimmy Harbour Newham Boxing Club London, whom is the boxer who had beaten Adam a few weeks previous and is the current English ABA champion. Harbour who hasn't been beaten this year and has 3 times more bouts on his card than Adam, in theory, was a mountain to climb - Not for this determined young man.... It really was an amazing performance for Adam who controlled the distance, carried out the game plan from the last bout and executed it with pristine skill, determination and will to win in all 3 rounds. The feedback to Adam from all around the ring and outside clubs and officials was amazingly positive as he caught the eye and had everyone talking about Adam Walsh. From all the club coaches and members we would like to say a massive Well Done Adam with tremendous pr
