Our Sligo Leitrim U13 girls are Interleague Bowl CHAMPIONS !!!
We made the long journey to Kilkenny yesterday Sat 23th of May to take on Donegal in the Interleague Bowl Final. Our girls got off to a flyer as a whipped in corner from Ella O'Donnell flew into the back of the net. Shortly after we got our second of the game when Seoidin Watter intercepted a Donegal pass and caught the bouncing ball with a beautiful strike which was too hot for the Donegal goalkeepers hands. With half time approaching we got another Seoidin again on target for her second of the game. Annie McGuire playing a defence splitting pass through the Donegal defenders and Seoidin calmly slotting the ball home from the edge of the box. Donegal came out in the second half and never gave up until the final whistle, and got themselves back into the game with lovely finish from outside the box, but our girls were not to be stopped today, and Ava Savage wrapped up the game with a super finish from another Ella corner kick.
