Have you been practicing better rotation to control the clubface but just can’t transfer it to the course?
It’s more than likely not the fact that the drills are not effective or that you are not putting in the work.

Your body might not have the stability in the core to be able to support rotation - or it could be a limited range of motion in the lead hip or leg - both these issues are common and at the root cause of flipping in the golf swing.

More clubhead speed comes from producing force quickly and transferring it efficiently through the body. That’s why explosive training (done safely) matter in both upper and lower body training.

One of the best core exercises golfers can do. The pallof press - sport specific and mimics the movement golfers are required to make.

In your golf swing your hips and thoracic spine rotate hard whereas your pelvis and lower spine need to stay controlled - this exercise resists any unwanted rotation and teaches the body to rotate around a stable base.

Speed - a huge factor in the game that has been proven to help improve performance. Speed comes with added risk:

Risk of losing more control over the ball - not hitting the middle of the face with faster speeds will lead to a decrease in accuracy and more curvature on the ball.

Risk of injury if your body doesn’t have the strength to support the increase in speed.

Risk of a breakdown in mechanics if you don’t have a technically efficient move - can lead to swing becoming more erratic.

Before introducing speed training - get an assessment of how you move, what are the key areas that need to be targeted, build strength within the body to develop a foundation for speed to be added and the. Outline a program of how and when to train it.

This is one exercise every golfer should do on a daily basis. Isolating the lower half while rotating the upper torso.

Lower back pain is one of the most common injuries in golf due to the repetitive load placed on the lumbar spine. If you combine that with limited mobility then your lower back takes on the role of hips, thoracic spine and core, causing it to make movements is wasn’t intended to do.
