Our U14 Boys A-Team picked up a good 2-0 win away to Straide&Foxford Utd last night to keep themselves top of Division One. Goals from Tom Killilea and Matvii Sakhnenko and a clean sheet thanks to a fantastic penalty save from David Kelly in the Swinford Goal not to mention a top class save from a free kick going top corner ⚽️⚽️
Big well done to the lads in what was a very good team performance from all 17 players involved ⚽️⚽️

Our U16 Girls finished up their league campaign with a 5-2 defeat away to a very good Claremorris side, Katelyn Moore & Daimhin Rooney with the Swinford Goals ⚽️⚽️

This young team has continued to develop week on week in a very strong division One. ⚽️

We want to say a big well done to all the players involved and a special thank you to Michael (Tyson) and Sharon for stepping in last minute to make sure the season could go ahead, 👏 all the hard work in the background to keep the team moving forward is much appreciated by all 💪💪

Our Senior men’s team play their final league match of the 2026 campaign this Sunday in James McEvaddy park when they take on Castlebar Celtic B-Team. ⚽️

Our U16 Girls team had a hard fought 2-1 victory away to Killala FC, Daimhín Rooney and Hazel Dunleavy with the Swinford Goals ⚽️⚽️ the team continues to improve week on week, keep up the good work ⚽️

Special mention to Killala FC for the minutes silence that was held for our late coach Jason Kenny 🙏🕊️

Everyone at Swinford Football Club wishes to offer our deepest condolences to Jason’s wife Denice, daughter Erin and his son Callum who plays in our U16 team , Parents Brendan and Joan, brothers Alan & TJ, sister Viola and all of Jason Family and friends 🕊️

Jason was currently one of our U16 boys coaches and his son Callum plays for the team, Jason has represented the club as a player as well as been involved with many of our teams in the past as a coach, Jason’s family have a long history with our club and we keep them in our thoughts 🙏

May Jason Rest in Peace 🕊️

Jason will repose at the Horkan Funeral Home, Charlestown (F12D393) on Wednesday evening from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock.

Removal from his home on Thursday to St. Joseph’s Church, Rooskey for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock followed by burial in Carracastle Cemetery.

Our U16 girls had a very busy week with 3 games in 7 days playing both Manulla and Ballina in the league and Ballyglass in the cup, this young team continues to improve game on game ⚽️⚽️

Wishing Our U14 Player Conor Lynskey a speedy recovery, Conor picked up a bad injury to his leg on Thursday night and all at the club want to wish him a speedy recovery and we all look forward to seeing him back on the pitch soon 💪⚽️

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Iorras Aiontaithe Coach Jimmy who is a paramedic and provided much needed care as Conor waited for the ambulance, as well as a big thank you to all our own players and coaches and the match referee ⚽️

U14 B-Team
Swinford FC 3 - 4 Iorras Aiontaithe, our U14 B-Team lost out by a single goal in what was a end to end game. The game was blown up 5 minutes early when Conor Lynskey picked up a serious injury in the closing stages.
