Martina Murray’s Captain’s Prize to the Men

Captain’s Day is as much about family and friendship as it is about the golf.

Martina and Paddy were absolutely delighted to welcome members of the Murray Clan, who travelled all the way from Tipperary to share in the celebrations. They had a fantastic day and were full of praise for our course and clubhouse hospitality.
We were also thrilled to welcome more family members from just across the way in Fourroads.

The competition on the course was fantastic, and the results of the day:

Martina Murray's Captains Prize to Men

Last weekend we had the Ladies Captain’s Prize to the Men. We had a massive turnout and brilliant weather to match the great atmosphere.

🏆 Connacht Challenge Trophy Qualifier is coming to Strokestown! ⛳

We are absolutely delighted to be hosting the Golf Ireland Challenge Trophy competition here at Strokestown Golf Club on Wednesday 17th June 2026. We are looking forward to extending a massive, warm welcome to all the ladies from the traveling teams.

We are thrilled to host over 80 players from Athlone, Ballaghaderreen, Ballina, Ballinamore, Ballinrobe, Boyle, Carrick on Shannon, Castle Dargan, Castlerea, Co. Sligo, Enniscrone, Roscommon, Strandhill, Swinford, Tubbercurry, and of course, our very own Strokestown team.

A special mention must go to our incredible Ladies Committee, who have worked tirelessly over the last few months to coordinate and organise this entire event. Thank you for your exceptional leadership and hard work in showcasing our club so brilliantly!

Another huge shout-out goes to all of our fantastic members who have been working alongside them to get the course ready. Thanks to everyone's collective hard work, the fairways and greens are in absolutely immense shape and ready for tournament play. We couldn't do it without our amazing club community!

Strokestown Golf Club is delighted to announce another major highlight of our golfing calendar happening this coming weekend, Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th.

Our Ladies’ Captain, Martina Murray, will present her highly anticipated Prize to the Men. On behalf of the committee and all club members, we would like to wish Martina the very best of luck for her special weekend.
