Star Of The Sea Athletic Club The Home of Athletics in East Meath, Ireland.

Star of the Sea A.C., based in East Meath Ireland, is a sports club that caters for juvenile & adult Track & Field, Cross Country, Indoor and Road Racing athletes along the coast, from the River Boyne at Mornington to the River Delvin on the Meath/Dublin border. Although we are a competitive athletic club, we now also have a Fit4Life section in our club for Adults (over 18years of age) that are lo

oking for a recreational running group. Each year we host 2 events on the Athletics Ireland Fixture List – our new 5km Road Race, which is based in Stamullen Village Meath, at the start of each summer, and our Annual Cross Country which is held on the 4th Sunday of September each year in Greenanstown, Stamullen, Meath – currently in its 26th year of running.

🗓️ Tuesday 26th May 2026
📍St.Patricks GAA Complex Stamullen K32 C433

🕗 5k Race - 8pm. (13 years plus). With cash prizes & race bonus' for new course record (currently 14min 53sec) and for the first Meath Athletics registered male & female athletes home. To qualify for team prizes - teams must be from Athletics Ireland registered clubs.

🕖 Juvenile Races - 7pm. U8, u10, u12, u15.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Meath Championships on Sunday! 10 athletes competed at Day 2 to bring home 5 medals!!

The morning kicked off with our sprinters 🏃‍♂️💨 Jakov, Max, JJ and Dylan ran excellent races in the 60m to all qualify for the semis with Dylan progressing to the final and narrowly missing out on a medal position to finish 4th.

Katie was our only shot putter on the day and threw fantastically as Katie does to finish 2nd in the event 🥈

Our older sprinters were up next in the 200m. James, Tegan and Katie took to the blocks to produce brilliant sprints! With James finishing 2nd 🥈

Finally our middle distance crew Aoife, Madisyn and Conor dominated the track in the 1500m. Madisyn and Aoife ran excellent races with Aoife coming 2nd 🥈and Conor finishing an exciting last lap to win his race 🥇

Huge congratulations to everyone who took part across the 2 weekends!! Looking foward to seeing our relay teams in action for the final weekend of Meath Championships!!
