The clouds and the showers couldn’t dampen a wonderful day of athletics in Claremorris on Saturday 6 June. All of our u9-u13 athletes who competed should be proud of themselves - every one giving their all with pbs, medals and just great running, jumping and throwing all round; another positive step in their athletics development.

Thanks to all parents for their support and cooperation and for being there with smiles and kindness to console, cajole and congratulate; and of course thank you to our club coaches and officials for the time and effort they put in.

Congratulations to Isabelle Sheridan, Sligo Grammar School, who competed in her first All Ireland Schools Championships on Saturday, taking silver in the Minor Girls 75m hurdles. This follows on from Isabelle’s silver medal in the National Juvenile Indoor Championships in March. A young hurdler with innate talent.
