How is everyone doing? We miss you all!! We are very sad that the new staged strategy announced yesterday means it will be quite a while before we see you all 💜
It seems at home workouts will be the normal for all of us for a while ahead!
How are you all keeping fit and healthy? Finding it difficult?

The increase to a 5k restriction for exercise is a small positive this week for sure!

Tomas Duffy has a new workout coming to our private group for the week ahead ⬇️⬇️

With Darkness into Light being postponed, Pieta House, Preventing Su***de and Self Harm is being supported by RTÉ 2fm 👏👏

This was their major fundraiser, so 2FM and Electric Ireland are asking you to join in a new show of hope.

Instead of all walking together this year, from your homes they are asking you to join in at sunrise on May 9th for a very special sunrise moment as one community, in support of those affected by su***de.

Please donate what you can on darknessintolight.ie and share your sunrise moment on May 9th using

Love this! Who is in for an early morning on May 9th? 👏💜

We feel the sense of community will be even more heartwarming that usual this year!

"THIS S**T IS BANANAS" It sure is MeowMeix

We have seen lots of banana bread posts lately! So here is some great tips for healthy ways to mix up those banana recipes and a little tip for the right stages in ripeness and their benefits!!

Thanks Meowmeix 👏💜💜⬇️⬇️⬇️

Bananas are a nutritious fruit that can be eaten in so many different ways. While most people eat bananas when they’re ripe (yellow), you can also safely eat them in their other stages. Green and brown bananas still provide a lot of the good nutrients that are in ripe bananas like potassium, magnesium, vitamin C and vitamin B6. ⠀

Green bananas - contain mostly starch and tend to be more bitter in taste and firm in texture than yellow bananas. Green bananas also contain lots of fiber, prebiotics, pectin, and resistant starches which have been linked to health benefits like helping to keep your gut bacteria healthy. Because they have the most fiber, these bananas are slightly more filling than a yellow or brown banana. ⠀

Yellow bananas - are a great source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and other nutrients. They have lost a little bit of resistant starch since being unripe, and therefore they taste sweeter than green bananas. Bananas in this stage are quickly digested and leave you feeling full for longer. ⠀

Brown bananas - contain the most antioxidants out of all the stages and the least amount of resistant starches, meaning that they’re very sweet. This flavor makes them great for baking! In this stage the banana has lost the most micronutrients, but it is still a healthy choice. ⠀

Pro tip: If you want to ripen a banana faster you can place it in a brown paper bag, and if you want to slow down the process put it in the fridge. 😁⠀
