A huge congratulations to Sonnie Lynott on his fantastic achievement at the Connacht Championships held at ATU Sligo yesterday! 🥈

Sonnie put in a brilliant performance to claim Silver Medal in the U16 Boys Discus competition. His hard work, dedication and commitment to training are paying off, and this result is well deserved.

Well done, Sonnie – we're all very proud of you and wish you continued success for the rest of the season! 💪👏

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The first race of our 5k/3k/2k Series takes place this Monday evening!

These events have been fantastic evenings over the past few years, and we hope to see a great turnout again this year.

As always, all young and budding athletes are very welcome. In line with Athletics Ireland guidelines, we encourage the following race distances:

• Under 13: 2km
• Under 15: 3km
• Over 15: Choose your own distance 😀

All races are out-and-back courses, with events taking place in:
📍 Easky
📍 Castleconnor
📍 Enniscrone

⏰ 7:00pm start each evening.

Come along, challenge yourself, and enjoy a great evening of running!

Well done to all the athletes who took part in the Connacht Outdoor Athletics Championships in Claremorris. The weather didn't play ball, but that didn't stop you from delivering fantastic performances. You represented the club brilliantly and made us all very proud. WEST SLIGO AC 2K, 3K & 5K RUN SERIES IS BACK!
We are delighted to launch our West Sligo AC Run Series, a fun-filled event for runners of all ages and abilities. Whether you're chasing a personal best, getting active with friends, or enjoying a family evening out, there's a distance for everyone!
🌟 NEW FOR THIS YEAR –
2KM DISTANCE ADDED! 🌟
We're especially excited to introduce a 2km race, making the series even more accessible for our younger athletes and beginner runners. It's the perfect opportunity for children and young runners to experience the excitement of race day in a supportive and friendly environment.

📍 Race Dates & Locations
🟠 15th June – Easkey
🟢 22nd June – Castleconnor
🔵 29th June – Enniscrone

🏃 Distances: 2km, 3km & 5km

⏰ All races start at 7:00pm

💰 Entry Fees: Adults: €10 per race or €25 for the full series
Children: €5 per race or €15 for the full series

Bring the family, encourage the kids, and join us for three evenings of fitness, fun, and community spirit. We can't wait to see familiar faces and welcome plenty of new ones along the way!

🏃‍♂️ Javelin Workshop with a National Champion 🏅

Niall and Shay were delighted to take part in a Javelin Workshop yesterday at Ballina Athletics Grounds, delivered by Grace Casey, Ireland's National Javelin Champion.

The boys had a fantastic afternoon learning the fundamentals of javelin from one of the country's top athletes. Grace not only holds national titles but has also proudly represented Ireland at the European Championships, making the experience even more special for all involved.

A huge thank you to Grace for sharing her knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise with the next generation of athletes. We wish her continued success in her athletics career and look forward to seeing her achievements in the future.

Congratulations to Matthew on an outstanding achievement, finishing 4th in the Shot Putt and qualifying for the Nationals — a fantastic accomplishment!
Well done also to Donnacha for a superb performance in the Shot Putt, placing 6th in a very competitive field.
In the Masters Mary placed 1st in the Shot Putt -absolutely incredible 👏🏻
